Ängelholm is a paradise for anglers. There are generous rivers and lakes here as well as an entire sea that invites you to fine coastal fishing. There are three short-course fishing waters: Rönne å, Vege å and Västerjön. The first fishing in the rivers is the first weekend in March. Fishing is allowed in Västerjön all year round.
Sea fishing
The piers at the outlet of Rönne å are popular casting spots and no fishing license is required here. Sea trout, herring and mackerel.
Rönne å
Flows from Ringsjön and flows into Skälderviken. Along Rönne å there are a number of floating piers for anglers, and in some places there are also barbecue areas. First weekend in March to the end of September: Salmon, trout, pike and perch.
Vege Å
Flows from Söderåsen and flows into Utvälinge. At the mouth there is a relatively shallow area that is well suited for fly fishing. March – September Trout and salmon. All year round – perch and pike.
Västersjön
Located on Hallandsåsen approx. 15 km. Northeast of Ängelholm. The water is a mixture of flat lake and low-lying forest lake and has an area of 480 ha and maximum depth is 13 m and average depth is 4.8 m. In addition to the fine fishing water, there are also boat rentals, one of which is adapted for the disabled. Lifts for boarding and disembarking are available at the pier. Trout, pike, perch, zander, roach and bream.
