Ås-Tolken lies with the western part in Borås and the eastern part in Ulricehamn municipality.
The lake is the source lake for Viskan and has clear and clean water. Tolken is an excellent fishing lake with large perch, pike, zander, eel, salmon trout and not least whitefish and chub. Sometimes you can also catch tench.
There are several islands in the lake. On one of them, Sundholmen, there are the remains of Sundholmen Castle from the early 16th century. There is a boat ramp at the southern end of the lake at Hallabron and one at the northern end of the lake, at the beginning of the descent to Sjögården. The latter is located near the old national road 40, south of the former Nice Inn.
The bird and nature photos are photographed by Kjell Eliasson, Nabben, Äspered and the fish photos by Miles Mogren, Lerbäck, Äspered.
