Here you can see all the fishing areas that we know of in Umeå Municipality and the surrounding area.
Here you can also buy a fishing license for the municipality's own fishing waters: Nydalasjön, Sofiehemsdammen, Grössjön and Umeå city fishing area - part of the Umeälven. Click on Fiskekort to buy your card. The municipality's fishing waters are marked in pink/purple on the map.
To read more about other fishing areas and buy a fishing license, you must go to the respective fishing area's own page here on Ifiske, on laxportalen.se or another website. Some fishing areas do not sell digital fishing licenses, for example Blåknuten SPK - Mjösjön and Botsmark SPK - Hedtjärn. Some areas allow fishing for free without a fishing license, including Mickelträsk FVOF and Överboda FVOF. Fishing piers are located in Nydalasjön, Trehörningen, Brunnsjön (Djäkneböle SFF) and Hissjön, among others. Boats for rent are available in Tavelsjön, Rödåbygdens FVO and Trehörningen, among others.
