Malingsbo-Kloten is a large, scenic coniferous forest area in highland and hilly terrain, with scattered bogs, lakes and streams that offer good opportunities for fishing and outdoor activities. The area is shared by three counties; Dalarna, Västmanland and Örebro. The easiest way to get here is via road 233 between Skinnskatteberg and Kopparberg.
Our family lakes are Långtjärnarna (Lower and Middle Långtjärn) (which were previously part of Ädelfiske Malingsbo – Kloten) in the northern part of our area, just south of Björsjö. Ljustjärn can be found at the southern end of Malingsbosjön, in the ecopark “Malingsbo”. Our family lakes are part of the Orangea vatten.
Our waters are divided by fishing method - fly fishing, spin fishing and angling. The different color markings on the map show our waters and where you are allowed to fish and what type of fishing license is required.
Orange waters
In our Family Lakes, we prioritize coordinated fishing in beautiful surroundings over the number of kilograms of fish. In addition to pike and perch that occur naturally in our Family Lakes, the lakes are enriched with salmonid fish stocking up to four times per year.
In orange waters , put-and-take fishing is conducted for planted rainbow trout.
In all orange waters you can choose between fly fishing, spinning fishing or angling.
(Fishing with traditional silicone or PVC-based PowerBait, such as pellets, tails, balls or worms, is strictly prohibited in our waters.)
When fishing with float rings in Ljustjärn, it is only permitted to practice traditional fly fishing from a float ring. Traditional fly fishing means. (Fly rod, fly line and down-covered hook). Our definition of a float ring is that it should be designed as a "traditional" float ring and be moved by paddling with your feet. If the float ring is moved with oars, it is considered a boat and is not permitted. Own boats, canoes or. SUP boards are not allowed in our game fishing lakes.
Report your catch here on iFiske's catch reporting page. With information about how you experience fishing and the fish that are released, especially in Hedströmmen, but also from our other waters, we get a picture of what the fish population looks like and can adjust fish conservation measures and catch accordingly. Our ambition and hope is that you as a guest will continue to enjoy your fishing in our waters and come back. For other species (Put and take), reporting is desirable, but not obligatory.
Feel free to upload pictures from your fishing adventures when you report your catches on the catch reporting page on iFiske. It doesn't have to be of record fish, but of your experiences and beautiful nature pictures from our waters. We always indicate the photographer. We reserve the right to publish submitted pictures on iFiske's rolling photo collage.
NOTE! Everyone who reports their fish is entered into the draw for day passes to our fine-grained fishing waters in Malingsbo-Kloten and Krampen! Please write which waters you caught your fish in.
At Sveaskog's fine fishing lakes, we actively work to provide a good fishing experience for those who choose to visit us and fish!
It is easy to walk around our ponds as they are partly fenced. Barbecue areas, jetties and shelters are located at the ponds, some of which are also adapted for people with reduced mobility.
Sveaskog has prepared several parking spaces for mobile homes/caravans in connection with our family lakes for this purpose. As landowners, we charge a fee for this in the form of fishing permits. The money from fishing permit sales goes back into the business through stocking fish, garbage collection, cleaning and emptying toilets in the area. Garbage cans and toilets should only be used by those who hold a valid fishing permit for the relevant game fishing lake.
Please note that the right of public access does not apply to fishing and that you as a visitor must therefore purchase a valid fishing license in connection with setting up a caravan or motorhome at Sveaskog's noble fishing lakes!
If you just want to camp, there are many prepared rest areas available in the Malingsbo-Kloten area where it is possible to stay one night free of charge according to the right of public access. At these places you take care of the garbage and latrines yourself.
Fires/grills are only permitted in designated fire areas. When a fire ban is in effect, all fires/grills are prohibited.
Sveaskog's water in Malingsbo-Kloten and the Krampen outdoor area are managed by Sveaskog AB.
Sveaskog conducts fishing activities with various fishing licenses in this area, both in natural waters and in lakes with implanted fishing for put & take (noble fishing).
Sveaskog AB is responsible for the maintenance and development of the area. Since 1975, Malingsbo-Kloten has belonged to the country's primary recreation areas in accordance with the Riksdag's decision.
