Temporary dietary recommendation for consumption of fish from the southern Bothnian Sea.
In consultation with the Swedish National Food Agency and the County Administrative Board of Västra Götaland, the Environmental Committee has developed a temporary dietary recommendation for consumption of fish caught in the southern part of Bothnian Sea in Karlsborg Municipality.
The dietary recommendation is established due to elevated levels of PFAS in fish, which can cause negative health effects with prolonged exposure. The dietary recommendation is temporary and applies until the Environmental Committee decides otherwise.
More information about the temporary dietary recommendation can be found on the Environmental Cooperation Eastern Skaraborg website: Temporary dietary recommendation for consumption of fish from southern Lake Bothnia (miljoskaraborg.se)
