Welcome to the Gysingeforsarna fishing conservation area
The area is located about 45km SW of Gävle and offers exciting fishing in both flowing water and our calmer areas.
Varied nature and opportunities for all types of fishermen
– from rapids enthusiasts to those who prefer still water.
Fishing in the rapids
Sevedskvarn has the smaller streams with more of a wilderness feel
where only fly fishing is allowed in the rapids area closest to the bridges. The Gysingeforsarna are the wide streams closest to the mill beautifully located with varying character.
Currently, grayling is found in the streams
but the stock is stressed so release all fish with the utmost caution.
Trout is present but it is a weak stock which we hope will improve thanks to the measures that are being taken.
Other fish in the streams are large perch and ide which offer very fun fishing!
Fishing outside the streams
Outside the flowing sections you can fish for perch, pike, zander, ide, bream and roach – and there are plenty of other species too. Here is the chance to pull up real trophies in a more relaxed environment.

- Paths make it easy to fish around the area and explore new places.
