Laxviken is located 85 km north of Östersund. The area is reached from the south via road 339 from Krokom. From the east via road 339 from Strömsund. The area has a varied range of fishing opportunities in both lakes, ponds and streams.
You can catch large trout and large grayling in the fine waters of Hotagsströmmen. You can fish for char and trout in Stora and Lilla Kungsvattnet and Torptjärn. Only "very fine" trout in Lillvattnet. Pike, perch and roach in Gransjön and Gammalålvikstjärnen. In Hotagensjön there are trout, grayling, pike, whitefish and roach.
Accessibility: Hotagensjön and Hotagsströmmen have a road all the way. Other waters require a shorter hike to the fishing spots.
Wind shelters are available at Hotagsströmmen, Stora Kungsvattnet, Lilla Kungsvattnet, Hotagensjön and Lillvattnet. Snowmobiling is permitted on all waters, marked trails.
Buyers of fishing licenses are required to read the rules of the fishing management area.
