General provisions Edsån
Fishing licenses are sold as daily licenses. In the yellow zone, the card is valid for 24 hours from the time filled in on the card. The quota card in the blue zones always applies between 00.00-24.00. Name and date must be filled in on the card to be valid. The fishing license must always be carried when fishing and carried clearly visible. The fishing license is personal and must be presented to the inspector upon request without request. For everyone's comfort take into account other visitors. An angler switches fishing spots and does not mark them unnecessarily.
The minimum size for trout is 40 cm , which means that gentle C&R prevails on trout below 40 cm along all zones of the Edsån.
Do not litter in nature. Keep in mind that forgotten fishing lines can harm birds and animals. Carried objects must not be left behind or thrown in rubbish bins other than those intended for this purpose. Barbecue areas are available along Edsån, disposable grills must be used in these. Fishing without a valid fishing license is prosecuted as illegal fishing, which is a criminal offense and the gear is confiscated. Violation of applicable regulations means that fishing rights are lost immediately. Failure to comply with applicable regulations does not release you from liability.

Fishing rules Yellow zone
In the yellow zone, fly fishing, spin fishing and angling are allowed. A maximum of three flies, a lure or a hook with bait may be attached to a rod. Only one rod per fishing license is allowed. Live fish must not be used as bait. Mashing is not allowed. Three salmonid fish may be killed per fishing license, then the fishing license is used up. For further fishing, a new fishing license is required. Children under the age of 10 may fish on a parent's fishing license. Then a maximum of three killed salmon-like fish applies. The family card's catch quota is 6 fish in total. Floating fishing is allowed in the Yellow Zone.
Fishing rules Blue zones, quota fly fishing
In the quoted distances (Blue zone 1, Blue zone 2 and Blue zone 3), only fly fishing with a fly rod and fly line, as well as a thinker rod are allowed. Only one rod per fishing license is allowed. Maximum three flies (one main fly and two hangers). Mashing is not allowed. Fragrance or odorants are not allowed. The maximum number of cards is 8. per day. On a designated stretch in Blue Zone 2, a maximum of 2 fishermen may stay at the same time. The quota fishing license also allows fishing in the yellow fishing zone. Floating fishing is NOT allowed in Blue Zones. In the quota zones, fishing bans apply during the period 1/10 - 31/11 .

A 24-hour card is valid for 24 hours from the start of fishing with a rod and a maximum catch of three salmonid fish. A family card is valid for 24 hours for 2 adults and their children up to the age of 15, for one rod per family member and for a catch of a total of six salmonid fish.

Blue zones, quoted max 8 cards / day
The quota fishing license is valid in all zones of the Edsån. The quota fishing license is also valid in all fishing lakes that Hökensås Sportfiske has at its disposal in Tiveden. See the regulations for Tiveden for a map of the lakes. A quoted card is valid between 00.00 - 24.00. The quota fishing license is personal and only applies to the person who redeemed the fishing license. Maximum catch of three salmonid fishes.
