In 2024, new rules will be introduced on lake Runn in Falun regarding zander fishing. The rules mean that all zander during the period 15 May - 28 June must be released back. The decision on this protection has been taken jointly by the FVOF who administer the fishery on Runn and provide the so-called Runnkortet. The purpose of the conservation period is to provide for a viable zander stock in the future as well. The current conservation period coincides with the spawning period of the pikeperch and we ask all fishermen on the lake to respect the rules so that we can maintain a good stock of pikeperch to fish at other parts of the year.

The peace period 15 May-28 June applies to the entire area that refers to Runn proper incl. Vikasjön, Ösjön and Liljan.

Pikes over 80 cm must be returned to the water as gently as possible.
A maximum of 2 walleyes between 50-70cm may be taken up per fishing occasion/day, walleyes under 50cm and over 70cm must be returned to the water as gently as possible.
A maximum of 5 pikes under 80 cm may be taken per fishing opportunity/day.
Crab fishing prohibited!

Rules Trolling card, maximum 6 fishing rods per boat. With the exception of the Dalälven and the Little River where the maximum number of rods is 2.
Angeldon/Ismete max 15 don or 15 ice fishing poles

Children/youths fish freely up to and including 15 years of age.
Suspicion of poaching contact the supervisor!

Violations of rules are assigned an inspection fee of SEK 1,500
