Fishing license and rules
For fishing, a valid fishing license is required to be presented to the fisheries supervisor on request.
The following rules apply to the entire area
Maxfångst; 2 Gases per day.
Gases with length measurements below 45 cm and over 70 cm are re-exposed.
Pike longer than 80 cm is re-released.
Max 2 rods per card and person.
Chopping hook is not allowed.
Angling against Pike with traditional hook 15 don per card and person.
Ismete with wooden hook 5 rods per card and person.
Max catch of Trout 3 per day with minimum length 40 cm.
Children / adolescents fish for free until 17 years.
City lakes Brunnsjön and Hönsan
In the lake Hönsan, in central Hedemora, all sport fishing is free. No fishing license required.
In Brunnsjön and Hönsan catch n 'release prevails on predatory fish Gös, Gädda and Pike. This means that caught fish should be re-released.
In Brunnsjön and Hönsan, ice fishing in the form of angling or ismete is also not allowed.
The fishing ban in Amungen and Brunnsjön
Applies to the entire lakes, including outlets marked with signs.
For Amungen apply 1/5 - 24/6
For Brunnsjön apply 1/5 - 15/5
For fishing competitions, the following applies: Permits for fishing competitions are issued only by the association's chairman, Johan Backlin, who also issues the license certificate.
Crayfish fishing may only be conducted by fishing rights holders within the shifts. One can use a maximum of 15 cages that must be clearly marked with buoys that are marked with name, telephone number and property number. Crayfish fishing may only be conducted during the period 1 August to 30 September, no cages may be left in the water between 10:00 and 17:00.
