Varpan's fisheries management area includes all waters within the red marked area on the map. The red-marked watercourses within the area, i.e. Lill-Bjursen, Stor-Bjursen, Svarttjärnen, Rackeltjärnen, Sätterbotjärn, Stensjön, Karlsbotjärn, Skogsmyran, Kalven, Lilla Altjärnen, Igeltjärnen, Ubbergstjärnen, are NOT included in the fisheries management area. The fishing right holder's fishing with a fishing right certificate

Fishing license is purchased digitally via www.ifiske.se. Individual fishing rights must be shown by holding a fishing rights certificate. The fishing license must be taken with you when fishing and shown on request. The fishing right certificate is issued for the property and is valid for the fishing right holder and his family.

Fishing license costs SEK 50 per year. A fishing right certificate may be purchased per percentage of the property's share in the fisheries conservation area.

A fishing license can be transferred throughout the year under the following conditions. The fishing right holder buys the fishing right certificate at www.ifiske.se and prints it out with a note that it has been transferred from the fishing right holder to a certain person. The name and address of the fishing right holder and the person to whom he or she transfers the fishing right certificate must be stated, telephone number and, if possible, e-mail address. A copy of the transferred fishing rights certificate must be sent to the chairman of the fisheries management area via e-mail jorgen.dufvenberg@falubo.se or submitted to the board in another way.

In Djuptjärn, Rogsån and Stångtjärn, which are leased out, the conditions for the fishing rights owners' fishing according to the lease contract apply instead of the rules below!

Fishing with mass-catching gear such as nets, nets and cages may only take place in own water (private water or within own parcel). Bulk-catching gear must be marked with a fishing buoy or similar.
ATTENTION! As of 2023, the rules for marking fishing buoys have changed. ATTENTION!
The fishing buoy must be clearly marked with property designation, telephone number and fishing right holder's surname .

Chaining of gear is prohibited. Unmarked tools can be confiscated and handed over to the police.

A maximum of 16 crayfish cages per fishing license. The minimum size for crayfish is 10 centimeters from tail to snout.

Crayfish fishing may only be conducted between July 15 and September 15.

The fishing license gives the right to hand gear fishing in the entire area (except Djuptjärn, Rogsån and Stångtjärn) according to the rules that apply to public fishing.

That means a maximum of 2 rods per fishing license. When fishing with a mobile motorized boat, max 2 rods/card, but max 4 rods/boat.

Pikes over 90 centimeters must be immediately released back.

Max 15 anglers when ice fishing.

Bait only with dead bait from the same water area. A water area is delimited by migration barriers for the fish.

All catches should be reported via Ifiske.

Fishing rules for property that has fishing rights in Rogsån
· Fishing rights owners with fishing rights certificates fish on their own waters

Fishing in flowing water = fly fishing routes: (marked on the map available on the website www.varpanfvof.se, See start page link fishing rules 2017-03-19)
· Dam Rogsjön to the inlet Jämtbodammen
· A stretch from the bridge at little Efriksgården and north.
Only catch and release (trout) with barbless hook.
Fishing in calm waters and the ponds
· Fishing with any hand gear allowed
· Winter fishing from ice in calm water may be done as pimpel and angling
· Net fishing ban in general in the entire river
Crayfish fishing is only permitted for fishing right owners.
For crayfish fishing, the rules of the fisheries management area apply.
Fishing ban in flowing water 15 September to 30 April.
Catch Limitation.
Falu Sportfishing Club recommends that all trout caught be released.
It is based on an assessed low reproduction. The club has practiced this for many years.
As an alternative to this a catch limit as follows:
Minimum size of trout 35cm. Maximum three trout/property and year.
