PROVISIONS FOR FISHING IN BERGVATTENSJÖN

Background

Local fishing in Bergvattensjön is managed by Dorotea municipality. Regular releases of salmonid fish, mainly char, rainbow trout and trout, take place in Bergvattensjön.

Fishing rules for Bergvattensjön:

Only 3 salmonid fish (rainbow trout, char, trout) may be killed / fishing license (day). Annual card holders only receive the right to kill 3 salmon-like fish per day. Minimum dimensions 30 cm. Other fish species may be caught without restrictions.

Only fishing with a fishing, throwing, spinning, pimping or fly rod is allowed. Only one rod may be used per fisherman and must be fished by hand (rod may not be left on land or ice with bait outside).

3. Fishing from boat, raft, etc. is prohibited. Fishing from floating is allowed.

4. The fishing license is also valid for the holder's children under the age of 15 who fish in their company. However, a maximum of 4 salmonid fish per card may be killed.

5. Fish cleaning must not be left in or adjacent to the lake. There is a risk of spreading parasites to live fish if this is not managed.

6. Children and young people (young people between 6 and 16 years) living (in writing) in Dorotea municipality can receive free fishing licenses during the summer holidays, provided that the municipality sponsors 400 free licenses annually. Otherwise, the fishing license must be redeemed.

7. School and childcare may fish for free in the lake after notification to the municipality's fisheries manager. A report of fishing results is submitted to the municipality's fisheries manager.

Group permits for companies and organizations in connection with events, at least 15 people are applied for from the municipality's fisheries manager.

9. Permission for the Lions' annual winter competition is sought from the municipal fisheries manager.

10. The fisheries manager may decide on rules in connection with fish releases.

11. Fishing license holders may place five fishing rods or five rods / day tackled with a fishing hook or three hook and dead bait fish for the purpose of catching pike. Pike shears are prohibited. Clarifying hooks may only be baited with dead bait fish and nothing else such as worm, powerbaite, maggot, etc. The fishing may only take place during the frozen period.

12. The fisheries manager or the deputy fisheries manager may decide on rules for decimation fishing.
