Generally:
The Volgsjön fisheries management area consists of the lakes Volgsjön, Fatsjön, Baksjön, Insjön and Svansjön with associated watercourses.
Children/youths under the age of 15 fish with their guardian's fishing license in their company.
Fishing season:
Fishing can be practiced all year round, in winter of course as pimpel fishing.
When winter fishing, be observant of the weak ice at the current channel in Lake Volga at the beginning and end of the season. ice conditions are usually safe from February to mid-April.
The ice settles on Lake Volga usually in November and breaks up in mid-May, boat launch sites are ice-free a week or so later
On the smaller lakes with less flowing water, the ice settles a little earlier and also thaws a little later .
Methods:
All waters are permitted for sport fishing with ice spears, casting, fly and fishing rods as well as trolling.
One gear per fisherman.
