FISHING REGULATIONS APPLICABLE FROM 02/29/2024

§1 Number of fish:
It is permitted to keep and kill a total of 3. salmonid fish (trout, char, rainbow or grayling) per person per day.

§2 Minimum dimensions:
The minimum permitted length for killing and keeping trout, char, rainbow or grayling is 35 cm. The length is measured from the tip of the nose to the tip of the tail fin.

We recommend that larger fish be released again.

§3 Net ban, outdoor ban:
In the following waters it is prohibited to lay nets, fish with otters or similar gear: Lill-Rajan, Stor-Rajan, Harrsjön, Raitasjön, Åsjön, Västra Hundsjön, Juptjärn, Västersttjärn, Grubbtjärn, Grubbsjön, Laxsjöarna, Stortjärn, Sultentjärna, Småsjöarna and all sail along the Saxälven and Lillån rivers.

§4 Boat ban:
Boats may not be used in these waters: Grubbtjärn, Juptjärn, Västerstjärn, Sultentjärn, the canal system between Storraija - Åsjön.
Västerhundsjö:
Own boat may be used in Västra Hundsjön for property owners within Rajastrand's FVO. Others are referred to Rajastrand's FVO's boat, which can be rented for SEK 100. The boat is in place and Annelie Hallin-Mårtensson takes care of rent and keys. It is therefore not permitted to bring your own boat if you do not own property within Rajastrand's FVO.

§5 Prohibition times:
Fishing ban applies in all flowing waters during the trout spawning period 2024.09.01 to 2024.10.14

-Lill-Rajan:
During the trout season 2024.09.15 to 2024.10.15 Catch and realese applies in the lake. During the same date, fishing is prohibited 50 meters from Lill-Rajas inlet and outlet as well as at Råbäcken and Holmsjöbäcken. Only hand-held fishing gear is permitted.
- The Saxån from Lill-Rajan's outlet to Lillånäsvägen applies to a fishing ban.
-Saxån from Lillånäsvägen to Tåsjö FVO 2024.09.15-2024.10.15

- The Great Rajan
During the trout season 2024.09.15 to 2024.10.15 Catch and realese applies in the lake. Bulk gear is prohibited during the play period. A fishing ban also applies within 50 meters of Stor-Rajan's inlet and outlet and 50 meters from the streams Handsksjöbäcken and Grubbsjöbäcken. Only hand-held fishing gear is permitted. We recommend that larger fish be released back to secure future fishing.

The right to set nets, troll and set hooks in Grundsjön, Storsjön and Perborrsjön is restricted to apply only to the legal owner of property within Rajastrand's FVO.
Småsjöarna: Allowed to set five hooks for people who own legal property within Rajastrand's FVO

-Deep Iron and Western Star:
2024.02.17-2024.05.01 fishing is permitted on Djuptjärn and Västerstjärn.
2023.05.02-2024.02-16 and 2024.05.02-2025.02.15. A total fishing ban applies to Djuptjärn and Västertjärn.

§6 Put And Take:
: Grubbtjärn is a put and take water where you need a special fishing license.
Fishing bans may occur temporarily in connection with the deposit of fish.
Only one fishing rod per angler is allowed. A fishing license entitles you to catch 3 fish. Children under 15 may fish on an adult's fishing license.

§7 Trolling Card-StorRajan:
The trolling card is valid for a boat and allows fishing with a maximum of 6 rods and with a maximum of six fishing lures at the same time, regardless of how many are in the boat.
The card allows the right to use deep rigs and rod racks.
We recommend that a single hook be used to minimize damage to re-exposed fish.
The trolling card allows a maximum of 3 trout or greyhounds per boat and day.
Recommended minimum measurement is 35cm.
The holder of a trolling card must respect and inform himself of the peace times for trout and grayling.
The trolling card is personal and may not be transferred to another person, leg must be shown when prompted.
Trolling from a boat with a maximum of two rods per boat without a deep rig or rod rack does not count as trolling.

We recommend that larger fish be released back to secure future fishing.

§8 Pike scissors:
Pike shears are not permitted within Rajastrand's FVO. The association follows the regulations of the Swedish Fisheries Agency, where fishing with scissor gear is not permitted for recreational fishermen. Permitted for owners of individual fisheries and professional fishermen. (law text)

§9 Fishing license:
Issued fishing license is personal but also applies to accompanied children under 16 years of age.
Annual cards are valid for one year from the purchase date stated on the card.

FISHING LICENSE 300:-
May only be purchased by the legal owner of a property within Rajastrand or Lillånäs.
FISHING LICENSES can only be purchased from Annelie Hahlin Mårtensson in Rajastrand.

Rent a boat within Raija FVO:

Boats are available for rent on Lake Västerhundsjön for SEK 100 per 6 hours. Rented by Annelie Hahlin Mårtensson.

Boats can be rented on Lake Storsjön for SEK 100 for 6 hours or SEK 200 for 24 hours. Rented by Annelie Hahlin Mårtensson.

Boat Available in Handsksjön. Included in the cabin rent for the gloves lake cabin. Rented out by Stugvärd Lars-Vidar Berg

If you have not bought a fishing license or fishing rights certificate, a report is made to the police authority.
If you have a fishing license or fishing rights certificate but violate the local regulations that apply to the fisheries management council, the following applies:
Violation of §1,6,7,8 (Number of salmonid fish)
First offence: SEK 250, Second offence: SEK 500, Third offence: SEK 1000.
Violation of §2.8 (Length of the fish)
First offence: SEK 250, Second offence: SEK 500, Third offence: SEK 1000.
Violation of §3,4 (Boat ban, Net ban)
First offence: SEK 500, Second offence: SEK 1000, Third offence: SEK 2000.
Violation of §5,6 (Prohibition times)

Since the fisheries inspector's mission is to be considered a public law mission, he has enhanced criminal protection according to ch. 17. the criminal code.
