Continuous supervision of the fishing waters takes place.
A valid fishing license must be carried and shown at the request of a licensed fishing supervisor or a member of Jokkmokk's Jakt & Fiske.
All fish subject to catch restrictions regarding number, type, size, etc. must be unconditionally released back.

In running waters within the area, fishing is prohibited from 15/9-15/6.
In Sör-Tjalmejaure, fishing is prohibited from 15/5 - 20/6
In other lakes, fishing is prohibited in connection with planting, then this is announced on our website www.jaktfiskejokkmokk.se

Fishing may be done with a hand-held rod with a maximum of three hooks, with the exception of trolling upstream of the Messaure power plant dam where trolling with an unlimited number of rods is permitted, and when it is clear from the specific rules for each fishing water that other gear is permitted.
Live bait only allowed when pimp fishing on frozen water.
When fishing where boat fishing is prohibited, you must have a land survey when fishing, except when it is clear from the specific rules for each water that floating is permitted.
Motorboat fishing ban means that all types of engines are prohibited. (i.e. even electric motors are prohibited).
On the fly fishing stretch in Pärlälven, only fishing with a fly rod is allowed.
24-hour and annual passes are now valid on all waters (also for trolling above the Messaure dam).

Maximum three salmon-type fish per person and fishing day. In Pärlälven and Appokälven, however, a maximum of 1 Trout may be included in the total catch quota.
In Pärlälven, Purkiforsen and Appokälven, the minimum size is 30 cm and the maximum size is 40 cm for salmon-type fish

Zone-specific rules for the Pearl River:
- Zone 6 Fishing with an annual pass, as well as a 1-7 day pass.
- Zone 5 Catch and release. No fish may be taken up. Fishing with an annual pass, as well as a 1-7 day pass.
- Zone 4 Fly fishing route. Fly rod fishing only. Fishing with an annual pass, as well as with a 1-7 day pass.
- Zone 3 Fishing with an annual pass, as well as with a 1-7-day pass.
- Zone 2 Fishing with an annual pass, as well as with a 1-7 day pass.
