Generally:
The fishing license is personal and may not be handed over, it must be carried when fishing and presented at the request of the police or fishing inspector.
Fishing must be conducted in moderation for good fisheries management.
Fishing season:
All current fishing is prohibited 1/9 - 30/4, except fly fishing for grayling is allowed 1/9 - 15/11 in all grayling waters, NOTE!: catch & release quota 8 fish (in Storån there are grayling up to Sognstupet).
Methods:
2 rods/angler applies in all waters.
Live fish may not be used as bait.
Prohibition on fishing from a boat or float in: Norra Trollsjön, Slötjärn, Valltjärn, Källdalstjärn, Bladtjärn, Tjärn 87, Slättåstjärn, Mellersta Långsjön, Bergslagstjärn, Kimtjärn, Älgsloken, Blanktjärn, Ögåvalltjärna, Bergslagstjärn, Bumlingtjärnarna, Juptjärn.
Boat fishing is permitted in Bålsjön, Öresjön Idre, Öresjön Särna, Långtjärn, Burusjön, Glytjärn, Gyttjetjärnen, Hemsjön, Stora Flysjön, Södra Trollsjön and Näcksjön.
Only fishing with float rod: Storån; upstream Hällsjön, and Klingforsen - Kronparklinjan south of the village of Foskros. Sörälven; Boat house stream - Flottarkoj ground (gap shed). The tadpole; Storedan (gap shed) - Storån. Buruan; Burusjön - Smedkojan. Fjätälven; The snowmobile trail at Ringströms - The entrance to Österdalälven (Fjätros). Between Lake Hällsjön and the bridge in Foskros, spinning etc. is now allowed (NOTE!: catch & release quota 8 fish, catch quota 5 fish, minimum size 35 cm / card and day).
Catch Limits:
Österdalälven: Östomsjöbron - Hornån, as well as in Fjäten from the falls to Fjätros - minimum size trout and grayling 45 cm, catch quota max 2 trout or grayling/card & day (+ catch & release quota 8 fish). Fly fishing distances for trout and grayling 35 cm, catch quota max. 5 fish/card & day (+ catch & release quota 8 fish). Other waters: grayling 35 cm, char 25 cm, trout 25 cm.
Norra Trollsjön, Slötjärn, Valltjärn, Källdalstjärn, Bladtjärn, Tjärn 87, Slättåstjärn, Mellersta Långsjön, Bergslagstjärn, Kimtjärn, Elgsloken, Blanktjärn, Ögåvalltjärna, Bergslagstjärn, Bumlingtjärnarna, Juptjärn, Glytjärn, Bålsjön, Öresjön Idre, Öresjön Särna, Langtjärn, Burusjön, Gyttjetjärnen , Hemsjön, Stora Flysjön, Södra Trollsjön and Näcksjön. In all listed waters, a maximum of 5 salmon fish/card and day applies.
Other rules:
Caught fish may not be marketed.
Fishing ban: Ugly; Södra Fulusjön - the fall at Gethammaren. The Görälven; below mock at Lillingarna - Lillån, Foskan, in Foskrosbyn between the bridge and Storån. Flight routes and prohibitions are signposted.
The fishing license is also valid in: Sveaskog's water (not privately leased, the fisher has the obligation to find out what applies in the water), the whole of Glysjön, the whole of Öjsjön and the whole of Trängselsjön.
