The license within the area refers to fishing with hand gear. Fishing cards, which are personal, are sold in the form of a daily card for SEK 50, a weekly card for SEK 200 and an annual card for SEK 500.
Young people up to the age of 16 fish for free.
Trolling fishing is limited to 3 fishing gear/bait at the same time per boat.
Max 10 pcs. the angeldon is counted as a hand tool.
Pulling oars count as hand tools if the engine is folded up or missing.
The annual pass is valid for 365 days.

Fishing rules Valid from 2020-03-02

Minimum dimensions apply to the following: zander 50 cm, trout 50 cm, salmon 60 cm. The eel is currently protected.
Max 3 pcs. salmonid fish may be caught per fishing license per day.
Pikes over 100 cm are returned.
Trout and salmon are protected during the period 1 October — 31 December.
Gös is protected during the period 15 May-30 June.

A valid annual license is required for fishing between 1 January and last February.
Dung tickets and weekly tickets are NOT valid during this time
Children and young people up to the age of 16 fish freely, taking into account the rules of the fisheries management area

Trolling is prohibited in the following zones:
- From the old bridge in Åhus and throughout the harbour.
- Between the piers at Gropahålet.
- From Lake Hammarsjön to the first power line downstream of Kavrö bridge.
- From the warehouse in Torsebro, downstream to the bridge over road 118.

ATTENTION! gliding with a sail/motorboat is equated with trolling.
Fishing is prohibited at the warehouse in Torsebro and in Mjöån.
Catching catfish is prohibited according to the fishing ordinance. Therefore, release the catfish again, but please document the catch with a camera and notify the fisheries management area of the catch. www.nedrehelgean.se

Bird protection areas.

I. The entire eastern arm of the Helgeån from at the height of the Lillö castle ruin (bridge) to the southern tip of Blackan and the eastern half of the river from the southern tip of Blackan to the Härlövsängaledsbron. Fishing from land or boat is not permitted between March 15 and July 15 (nesting birds). Partly belongs to the Isternäset nature reserve.

II. Northeast of a line drawn from Stenholmen (south of Hammarslund) to ålören (west bank Håslöv's meadows). Fishing from land or boat is not permitted between March 15 and July 15 (nesting birds).

III . From Ålören (west bank Håslövs ängar) to Håslövs ängar's bird tower. Fishing from a boat closer to land than 100 meters is not allowed during the period March 15-July 15 (nesting birds). Fishing from land is prohibited March 15-July 15 through a trespassing ban in the nature reserve Håslövs ängar.

IV . East of a line drawn from Håslövs ängar's bird tower to the church tower in Rinkaby. Fishing from land or boat prohibited between 15 March and 15 July (nesting and resting birds).

V. On the west side of Hammarsjön's outlet, 300 meters to the northwest and 250 meters out into the lake. Fishing from land or boat is not permitted between March 15 and July 15 (nesting birds).

WE. The eastern side of Helgeån from Graften to the beginning of the forest about 500 meters downstream. Fishing from land is not permitted between 15 March and 15 July (nesting birds).
