Fishing rights owners' fishing within Gapern's fisheries management area

The Fishery Assembly has decided that all owners of fishing rights must receive a Fishing Rights Certificate/Membership Card free of charge. The membership certificate applies until further notice to all fishing on the terms decided by the fishing meeting and within the framework of the general and local rules for fishing in force at any given time. The certificate is personal and may not be transferred or lent. For permanent residential properties, the membership card also applies to spouses/partners and children living at home who belong to the household and are registered on the property. For leisure properties and other property, the card also applies to spouses/partners and children living at home who belong to the household and are registered at the permanent residence address.

The fishing rights certificate must be taken with you when fishing and must be presented to the fishing supervisor or fishing rights owner upon request. Fishermen themselves are obliged to ascertain which fishing regulations apply in the area, see below.

When transferring a property, the owner must contact the fishing area association and provide information about the new owner for the issuance of a new membership certificate.

The minimum size for taking pikeperch is 45 cm.

Trolling may be done with only one move per person. Deep rigging is prohibited..

PLEASE NOTE that internet bans apply in Gapern every year between 15 May and 30 June.

Placed tools must be marked with name and property and with floats at both ends, otherwise the tools will be confiscated.

Owners of fishing rights may fish with a maximum of 150 meters of nets.

In case of violation of the association's rules, the fishing rights owner must pay a control fee of up to 10% of the applicable base amount. (52,500 SEK in 2023)

Guest card is valid for angling and casting rod with one pull. Owners of fishing rights (or residents at Gapern who have purchased an Annual Pass) have the right to purchase one or more GUEST CARDS (annual passes) for one person. The guest card may be used by visiting family and friends of the fishing rights owner/annual card holder. Guest cards may not be used when renting out the home.
