Generally:
- Fishing is open all year round.
- Children under 15 fish for free.
- Angeldon/ismete max 10 don/rods.
- Mörtstuga/mjärde permitted and marked with a name.
- Net fishing not allowed.
- Russian not allowed.
- Crab fishing not allowed.
- Prohibition to sell catch, (with the exception of roach for bait).

On the stretch from the middle dam and the upper dam at Ängesån down to the outlet at Gadö, (the flowing part of the river) only fly fishing and spin fishing with barbless hooks is permitted, all other methods are prohibited. With the exception of the utility dam where other methods are permitted. See green marking on the map.

Fishing is prohibited from the sluice gate behind the manor house in Mackmyra farm down to the first enclosure after the manor's apple orchard, as well as in and adjacent to the fishing road around the sluice gate. See red marking on the map. Prohibition signs and posted maps also show the fishing limits on this stretch.

Fishing, spinning, trolling, fly fishing, (ice fishing max 10 rods/fishing gear)

Catch Limits:
Minimum size Gös 45 cm.
Maximum size Gos 65 cm.
Maximum size Pike 75 cm.
Catch quota 2 zander/pike per day is allowed to be taken home.
All catches of trout and grayling must be released back very carefully.

Parking ban at the loading site at Mackmyra! All vehicles are parked in the large car park below.
