Generally:
General short fishing is permitted in all lakes within the fisheries management area except for the following: Långsjön,
Ormsjön, Igeltjärnen, Ankdammen in Hofors up to the outlet from Hammerdammen (these lakes and
watercourses require separate fishing licenses and are subject to local regulations and control fees).
Fishing licenses (with the exception of guest licenses) may not be transferred. Fishing licenses are forfeited immediately if below
stated conditions have not been observed, without the holder's right to recover paid fees. With hand tools
refers to rods, i.e. casting rod (for example fly, reel, spin), fishing rod and pimpelspö.
Card prices for lakes with general card fishing:
Daily pass: Fishing with a maximum of 2 hand tools and fishing with a maximum of 10 anglers/10 ice fishing rods, alternatively ice fishing rods. Trolling and fishing from a boat allowed.
Annual pass mini: Fishing with a maximum of 1 fishing gear from land or ice (not from a boat).
Annual pass maxi: Fishing with max. 2 hand tools and fishing with one of the following options: Max. 10 anglers/ice fishing rods or: 1 minnow or: 1 longline with 100 hooks or: 10 pole hooks. Mjärde, long rope and pole hook must be marked with name and telephone number. Trolling and fishing from a boat allowed.
Guest annual pass: May be redeemed together with annual pass maxi. Applies to one guest per occasion who will fish together with the holder of the annual pass. The guest may fish with one (1) hand tackle. For the guest card (regardless of user), the same catch restrictions per day apply as for other fishing cards.
Free youth fishing:
• Young people up to and including 15 years of age fish for free according to the rules for day passes - but only with a hand tackle.
• Ankdammen: Free fishing with a hand tackle only for children up to 15 years of age. The child must practice fishing and handling the fishing gear himself. The adult can help with, for example, tying, bait and the like.
Fishing competitions: Those who participate in fishing competitions redeem cards valid for the way they fish.

Common rules (general card fishing)
• Net ban in all lakes.
• Crayfish fishing prohibited.
• Max 3 walleyes/day, minimum size 45 cm, maximum size 65 cm. Damaged fish should not be released again.
• Max 3 trout/day.
• Fishing ban at the outlet from Hyn (Montrose) to the bridge over Hubobanan between 15/9 and 15/11.
• Fishing ban within the Hoån's outlet in Storgösken, as well as the ground outside the golf course (within the buoyed area) from ice removal until June 15, (protection of the pike spawning area).
• Prohibition of fishing in all waters.
• Carp caught in Nottjärnen must be released immediately. Only the working group (registered with the fisheries management area's board) that manages the project may actively fish for Carp. Otherwise, Nottjärnen is included as usual in the fisheries management area's short fishing.
It is the responsibility of the fishing license holder to
• Observe the current regulations of the fisheries management area.
• Respect marked equipment in the water.
• Ensure that the fishing site is left in a neat and tidy condition.
• When fishing, bring a fishing license and, upon request, show this to the police or a supervisor together with a valid identification document.
• Pay attention to other information and grants that are allocated at each lake or watercourse.
Control fees and fishing supervision
Control fees in case of violation of the above rules in the waters permitted for general short fishing
(see introduction):
• Fishing with nets, Russian nets or other unauthorized fish traps or gear - SEK 4,000 per net or gear.
• Fishing with too many permitted long lines or nets - SEK 2,000 per gear
• Fishing with too many hand tools, pole hooks or fishing nets - SEK 1,000 per tackle, pole hook or fishing line.
• Fishing in protected fishing areas - SEK 2,000.
• Fishing with unmarked gear, which according to the rules requires marking - SEK 1,000 per gear.
• Fishing for more than the maximum number of fish per day - SEK 1,000 per fish.
• Taking in fish that do not meet the specified lengths - SEK 1,000 per fish.
• Other violations of fishing regulations - SEK 500.
Illegal fishing (poaching)
Confiscation of all equipment used at the time, as well as a police report.
Catch Limits:
Max 3 walleyes per day - minimum size 45cm maximum size 65cm
Max 3 trout/day
Other rules:
The fishing license holder may not:
Sell fish
Catch more fish than she/he can absorb
Transfer fishing license to someone else.
The right to fish ends immediately, if the conditions stated above are not observed.
Without the holder's right to recover paid fees.

Control fees and fishing supervision
All supervisors within Hofors FVOF (also for leased waters) are appointed through the Hofors FVOF board.
Control fees in case of violation of Hofor's FVO rules (does not apply in licensed fishing waters where separate fishing licenses are required.
Unauthorized fishing with Russian nets or fish traps - SEK 4,000
Fishing in protected fishing areas - SEK 2,000
Fishing with unmarked gear which, according to the rules, requires marking - SEK 1,000
Fishing with other unauthorized gear or too many gear - SEK 1,000
Fishing after the maximum number of fish has been reached - SEK 1,000
Taking in fish that do not meet the specified lengths - SEK 1,000
Other violations of fishing regulations - SEK 500
Illegal fishing (poaching) - confiscation of all equipment used at the time and police report.
Leased fishing waters are currently Hubo-Långsjön Lissjön Ormsjön Lisstjärn and Igeltjärnen.
Hofors FVOF assigns the right to determine both control fees and fishing rules for licensed waters to the association, company or individual who holds the fishing right and is responsible for fishing license sales and supervision in these waters. The holder of the fishing right must himself be responsible for information about the fishing rules in the granted waters. Control fees for licensed waters accrue to the current fishing right holder.
