Generally:
Children up to 11 years of age may fish for free in the company of an accompanying adult with a valid fishing license. Note that the catch limit of 2 rainbows applies per card (see below)

Fishing season
In Norra Långevattnet, fishing is allowed all year round. During April-September, day passes entitle you to fishing all day, from 00.00 to 24.00. During the rest of the year from 06.00 to 21.00.

Methods
Fishing license is valid for fishing with only ONE rod, either spinning, reel or fly rod, traditional spinning or fly fishing. Active fishing with movement on the bait/fly applies to all fishing. Permitted baits are fly or spinning baits. A barbless hook is recommended for easier unhooking.

Jerk fishing is prohibited.
All forms of angling (fishing with bait) are prohibited. Except for ice fishing, when natural bait is allowed.

Throwing balls/studs/bombs and artificial odors and flavors are prohibited. Pacifier indicators and hangers are prohibited for all fishing. Fishing with spinning flies and sinkers is prohibited.
Fishing from boats and other floating devices is prohibited. Floatation performed with fins is, however, permitted for fly fishing.

Catch Limits
A maximum of 2 rainbows may be kept per card. After that, you can buy a new card if you want to continue fishing. No restriction for other fish species.

Miscellaneous
Fishermen are obliged to show their fishing license, identification, gear, bags and catch on request. Fisheries supervisors are provided with a special badge or card. The fishing rules apply in case of legal liability and violation may result in a penalty. If you fish with unauthorized methods, the fishing license will be canceled on the spot by our fishing supervisors. In case of repeated offences, an inspection fee of SEK 1,000 is assessed.
