Rules 2023 for all waters

except for Gräningen, Ljussjön, Kramstatjärn and Simessjön

§ 1 Peace hours:

Fishing ban 16/9 – 24/12 in all trout, char and grayling waters
except in Harsasjön, where fishing aimed at pike is permitted.

The board can, if necessary, introduce a fishing ban without an annual meeting decision.

This is then announced on the website, Facebook and notice boards at

current water.

Storöratjärn and Edeforsen: fishing ban 16/3 - 14/5 and 16/9 - 24/12

Stora Kölsjön and Åvattnet: net ban between 1/10 - 30/4

Harsasjön, Bodasjön and Dalsjön : internet ban all year round

Crayfish fishing: fishing is prohibited throughout the year

Goose fishing: fishing ban for the entire month of June

§ 1b Conservation areas:

Fishing is prohibited throughout the year in:

• Aborrtjärnsbäcken, in the first 200 m from the lake outlet

• the stream from Storöratjärn to Lillöratjärn
• Gräningebäcken to Vinnfarvägen

• Gammelmyrbäcken (from Lake Simessjön) in the first 200 m from the lake outlet.
• Ljusvallsbäcken between Ljussjön and Grundvatnet.

§ 2 Minimum and maximum dimensions: * see also § 12

Trout and *Trading at least 35 cm. There is no minimum size for brook trout, but the number limit applies.
Greyhound at least 30 cm
Grow at least 40 cm
Perch max 40 cm
Pike max 90 cm

§ 3 Fishing from a boat or floating ring:

Fishing from a boat or float is prohibited in the following waters:
Abborrtjärn, Gartsbotjärn, Högbergstjärn, Långtjärn at Kölvallsberget, Mytingen, Oktjärn and Stormorstjärn.

Other waters, for which the fishing license is valid, are permitted for fishing from boats and floats.

§ 4 Fishing with nets:

For fishing with a net, an additional card is required, which only fishing right owners and permanent or leisure residents in Järvsö may purchase.

Fishing with nets is allowed in Storsjön (Stora Kölsjön) and Åvattnet 1/5 - 30/9 .

Net ban applies to:

• in Ljusnan within a radius of 200 meters from the mouth of Milån and Sörbyån
• in Edeforsen from the parish boundary down to the boundary marked by signs
• throughout the year in Harsasjön, Bodasjön and Dalsjön.

Fishing with nets must not take place in streams and rivers, or in such a way that a fish pond or fish ways are closed to more than 50%.

Fishing with nets is limited to 5 nets/card with a total length of no more than 150 metres.

The nets must be marked so that it is clear who the user is.

Nets are counted among the moving gears.

§ 5 Crayfish fishing:

All crayfish fishing is prohibited until further notice.

§ 6 Number restrictions: * see also § 12

Within the Fisheries Management Area there is a catch limit for trout, *trout, grayling and rainbow trout

to a total of 3 fish per 24-hour license or per 24-hour license for an annual license.

§ 7 Jerk fishing:

A ban on jerk fishing applies in all waters within the Järvsö FVO.

§ 8 Hand tools:

Hand gear means a rod equipped with a line and a maximum of 3 hooks.

Fishing with hand gear is permitted in all of Järvsö Fishing Area Association
water, except where total fishing is prohibited.

In the following waters, fishing may be conducted with only one (1) hand gear / card:

Perch iron, Gartsbot iron, Ground water, High mountain star,
Högvallstjärn, Lillöratjärn, Långtjärn (v, Kölvallsberget),
Långtjärn (v Gräningen), Mytingen, Oktjärn, Sortvattnet (see also § 12),
Great-eared starling, Great-mother starling, Black-eared starling, Eared starling (v Nor), Great eared starling,
Edeforsen in an area marked with signs, Kyrkströmmen, streams and rivers.

§ 9 Fixed tools:

Permitted fixed gear is Russian.

Fishing with fixed gear must not be conducted in such a way that fishing lines or fishing routes are blocked
to more than 50%.

Fixed equipment must be marked so that it is clear who the user is.

Fixed gear must not occur within a radius of 200 meters from the mouth
of Milan and Sörbyån.

§ 10 Other movable gear (except hand gear and nets):    * see also § 12

By other movable gear is meant otterboard, sledgehammer, longline, angeldon* and

stand hook.

Other mobile gear may be used in all waters except those waters which
exempted for fishing with only one (1) hand gear.

Other movable equipment must be marked so that it is clear who the user is.

Fishing with other moving gear is prohibited within a radius of 200 meters from
the mouth of the Milån and Sörbyån.

§ 11 Fisheries supervision:

Fisheries supervision is carried out by supervisors appointed by the County Administrative Board.

Fishing license must be taken with you when fishing.

The fishing license is personal and may not be transferred.

In the event of a violation of the FVO's rules, an inspection fee will be charged according to the established list
taken out by the fisherman:

High SEK 3,000

Raised the first time SEK 500

the second time SEK 1,000

the third time SEK 1,500

§ 12 Other provisions:

Brook trout are not covered by the rules on §2 Minimum size or §6 Number restrictions.

All tagged zander in Dalsjön must be released again.

Children under 16 fish for free.

Trawling ban applies in Storöratjärn.

Fishing prohibited in waters designated for fishing with only one
hand tools (see § 8).

Fishing for salmonid fish may not take place for sale.

Angling in Sortvattnet aimed at pike is allowed, with a fishing hook for those who have solved a daily permit

or annual pass.

Powerbait balls are not allowed.

§ 13 Fishing permit:

Fishing is permitted in all waters except Gräningen, Kramstatjärn, Simessjön and
Ljussjön on the following card types:

Season ticket

Additional card for nets only for fishing right owners and permanent or leisure residents in Järvsö.

24-hour card

Other restrictions in the fishing license see §§ 1 - 12.

Other information:

Notice boards can be found in most precious fish waters. Pay attention to local regulations!

Due to crayfish plague, bait fish from Milsjön, Milån and Uvåssjön may not be moved to other waters without having been frozen for at least 2 days. Also make sure gear and boats are dry before using them in other waters.

Sortvatnet is for the time being included in other waters due to the lack of char stocking in the fall of 2022, therefore a daily pass is SEK 60 or an annual pass is SEK 350 during 2023.
