Generally:
As an angler, you are obliged to find out which rules apply and respect them.
Changes in regulations for sport fishing may occur during the current season.
It is therefore the angler's obligation to take advantage of these from notices on the website, Facebook and notices posted along the river.
- Cooperate with fisheries supervisor. Act to combat illegal fishing.
- At the request of the fishing supervisor, there is an obligation to present the catch.
- Children and young people fish for free up to and including the calendar year they turn 15.
- Before starting your fishing, you should make sure that your own fishing gear does not become entangled with,
or harms others.
- Report your catch at the end of the fishing session or as soon as possible afterwards on the website.
Fishing season:
Harren is protected from April 15 through May 31
During the period 15/6 up to and including 31/8, only single hooks are allowed for salmon fishing with a spinning fly.
Methods:
In exchange for a fishing license, the right to fish within the area is granted with only one rod per person fishing, which shall
be handheld or within very close reach, this also applies in a boat.
- Fishing with paravan is prohibited.
- All forms of jerk fishing are acc. law prohibited!
- Anchoring is prohibited upstream of the power line.
- At Lemisören, fly fishermen have priority.
- Worm, maggot and other types of natural baits are allowed.

Single hook 13 mm (distance between hook tip-shank)
Three-hook drag and wobbler 9 mm (distance between hook tip-shank)
Three-hook tube fly, jig, spinner and the like, size 4.

Minimum dimensions:
Salmon 50 cm
Sea trout 40 cm
Grayling 35 cm
Fish below the minimum size must be released back into the river dead or alive in a gentle manner.
Other rules:
Luleälv is a waterway for boat traffic from the estuary area in Luleå and up to 300 meters downstream
The Boden hydroelectric plant. This boat traffic has priority over recreational fishing on land and in boats.
This means that the boat using the fairway must be given priority to pass first
fishing from land or by boat may resume again.
- Those who fish must show consideration for others staying in the area.
- Fishing must be conducted in such a way that other fishing is not unnecessarily hindered.
- Rolling fishing may be carried out when the need for this arises.
- Show consideration for landowners and plot owners, do not park on plots and respect private roads.
- Clean up after yourself and leave rubbish in designated places.
- The fish cleaning is thrown back into the river, and not into dustbins.
