Generally:
In order to fish within the waters of the Foxen and Struven-Stora Le fisheries management areas, a fishing license is required.
The fishing license is personal and may not be transferred.
Only hand tools are allowed.
The fishing license does not give the right to crayfish fishing.
Persons 16 years of age and younger may fish without a fishing license.
An inspection fee of SEK 1,000 can be charged during inspections if a valid fishing license cannot be presented.

Methods:
Only hand tools are allowed.
When trolling, a maximum of 4 rods per loose fishing license applies.
For other fishing, a maximum of 2 rods per boat and no deep rigs or paravanes apply.
Catch Limits:
Maximum length of pike 80 cm.
Minimum size for zander is 45 cm.
Max 2 walleyes per day and angler.
Conservation period for zander with zander fishing ban; 1 May - 15 June.
Minimum size for trout/salmon is 60 cm.
Other rules:
Crayfish fishing has been prohibited since 1/1 2020 according to the County Administrative Board's decision.
For the right to fish in the Holmerudsälven, a fishing right within the Stuven-Stora Le FVOF is required.
All trout caught there must be released back.

Fishing license and local card:
For owners of fishing rights, fishing is free in the area. Fishing rights certificates (fishing cards) do not need to be redeemed for fishing right owners, but it is enough to be able to state the name and which property you have fishing rights through when checking. As a fishing right owner, you can bring guests with you for free. Those who live within the fisheries management area but do not have fishing rights can buy a local card.

Fisheries supervision:
Happens through some supervisors appointed by the association. Fisheries supervision may also be hired out.

Fishing:
Ownership of fishing rights is separate from ownership of water and beach. This means that you are not automatically a fishing judge because you own a piece of a lake or a piece of beach. In order to have fishing rights, this right must be registered in the property register. It is therefore not enough that fishing is mentioned in the purchase contract. Changes to fishing rights can only be made by order of the Land Survey.
Fishing rights follow the village boundaries. You can therefore have fishing rights without having beach rights or water rights and you can have fishing rights outside another property's beach. if the fishing is unchanged, you have the right to fish everywhere in the village's fishing waters, regardless of which property it is outside.
In connection with the formation of a fishing conservation area, a fishing rights investigation is carried out and a fishing rights list is drawn up. These documents report which properties have fishing rights in the fisheries management area, if the fishing rights are individual (shifted) or combined (unshifted) and how large a share each property has of the fisheries management area's fishing water.
