General fishing rules for Svedje–Västanede-Övsjö FVO.

We apply an inspection fee. Violation of the rules below will result in an inspection fee being charged. The maximum amount for the supervisory fee is 10% of the price base amount for the year. (52,500 SEK for 2023)

1. Maximum two rods per fishing license.
   Exceptions for children up to 16 who fish on their guardian's fishing license.
   Then 1 rod per fisherman applies.
   Example: Goalkeeper and 1 child may use 2 rods together.
   Goalkeeper and 2 children may use 3 rods together.
2. Max 3 noble fish per day and fishing license.
   This also applies when children fish on their guardian's fishing license.
   Together, the parent and child can take up 3 noble fish.
   When 3 noble fish have been drawn up, a new card must be resolved in order to continue fishing.
   It is not permitted to continue fishing but apply catch and release, for example.
3. All noble fish under 30 cm must be released REGARDLESS of whether it is viable or not.
4. Live bait from other lakes is not permitted. All use of rum is also prohibited in the waters of the fisheries management area. All types of mashing are prohibited in the deep iron group's ponds.
5. The use of fixed tools such as nets, nets, scissors, nets and cages is strictly prohibited in the Deep Iron Group.
6. It is forbidden to use a boat on Djuptjärnsgruppen. Floating is allowed.

Rules regarding boats and other vessels

Boats may be used on all waters except Djuptjärn, Österholmtjärn, Västerholmtjärn and Älgkalvtjärn. On these ponds, however, you may use a floating ring, see below.
Special rules apply to floating rings:
Float anglers give way to those fishing from shore Approved float rings must be designed as a "traditional" float ring and performed by paddling with the feet.
If the floating ring is performed with oars, it is considered a boat. This is not allowed.
No type of engine is allowed.
Own boats, inflatables, canoes and kayaks etc. is not allowed on the deep lake group.
