Åkers Canal - Lower part
The canal offers fishing in central Åkersberga for various species such as various whitefish (bream, roach, bream, carp, etc.), sea trout, pikeperch, pike, perch, roach and asp. ÖSFK members are offered free fishing here and guests have the option of purchasing a daily or weekly pass. A fishing ban applies during the period 15 September-31 December throughout Åkers Kanal. For the section downstream of Slussholmen to the footbridge over Åkers Kanal at Hackstavägen, a fishing ban applies all year round.

Lake Trastsjön and Lake Södersjön
These lakes, which are connected by a short stream, are located in the scenic area of Trastsjöskogen, about 10 minutes from central Åkersberga. These lakes mainly attract fishing for species such as bream, pike, perch, tench and carp. For carp and tench, catch@release is mandatory.

In addition to the above fishing waters, membership in Österåkers Sportfiskeklubb gives extended fishing rights to various archipelago waters that belong to Österåkers municipality. In addition to free hand gear fishing, there is the possibility of household fishing with nets, longlines and rods. There is also some possibility of trolling with an electric motor according to special rules.
