Uppsala County offers great opportunities for fishing all year round. In the county's lakes there is a very varied fishing for everything from large pike, geese and perch to trout and salmon. One of the country's finest salmon and sea trout waters can be found in Älvkarleby, on the lower Dalälven. A bit up the river you will also find nice stream water with the chance to catch both grayling and trout, as well as large bays that offer good fishing for large pike and geese in wonderful environments.
In Uppsala County, you also have the opportunity to fish for lesser known species such as aspen, ferns, vimmas and the perch. The fishing for these species is very good and several Swedish records are caught in the county.
