Emån

The 23 km long Emån runs through several municipalities in Småland. It has its source in Nässjö municipality and flows into the Baltic Sea in the northern part of Kalmarsund.

The upper part of the river flows into a smoldering highland area and passes several streams and waterfalls. In Kalmar County, it winds its way through plains.

The river is known for salmon and large sea trout and the current world record of 15.3 kg was caught here in 1993. Protected species such as the aspen and the protected template also have important premises here.
