Norrbotten is Sweden's northernmost and largest county with 14 municipalities. The county covers about a quarter of the country's area. Norrbotten is truly a fisherman's Eldorado, here you can really find everything from vast mountains, bogs, birch and pine forests. The nature is incredibly beautiful and you can easily find your own little hidden gem in relatively untouched nature. Norrbotten is best known for its fishing for Grayling, Salmon, Trout and Char. The number of lakes and streams is almost endless. Although the county is best known for its fine fishing, it has become more and more popular to go up in the country to fish for Pike, among other things. Popular fishing methods in the summer are fly fishing and spinning. In the winter and spring, the popular ice fishing starts first, and mainly after Char.
