Kallön Storavan

Welcome to fishing in Kallön's fishing conservation area. It is beautifully situated in Storavan, which is part of the Skellefteälven River. Sea charts are available for the entire Storavan. We recommend that the boat be cleaned before launching, to avoid the spread of infection and invasive species if it has been in other fishing waters. See the film at the following link:

Our area is located about 40 kilometers south of Arjeplog along Slagnäsvägen. The lakes Övre and Nedre Veijejaur are also part of the fishing area. In the eastern part of the fishing area is Västra Skvecke with two wind shelters where the fireplaces can be used and a longer pier from which it is easy to fish. There is also a nice sandy beach with good swimming opportunities .

Free fishing for children and young people up to 17 years of age.

The area includes one or more fishing areas for catch-and-release, i.e the fishes are gently put back into the water alive.

Kallöns FVOF

The decision to form a separate fisheries management area was made in 1989 because the village association and the fishing rights holders wanted to retain, as far as possible, the right to decide on the management of fisheries in their own waters. A fisheries management association was formed with responsibility for the joint management of fisheries.

In Kallön, the association has built an asphalted boat ramp next to Kallö pier. There is also a wind shelter and a recreation center next to it. They have also built recreational facilities on western Skvecke.

The goal of the fisheries management area is to provide good and affordable fishing with good accessibility. Currently, there is a very good supply of large perch, large pike and large trout!

When fishing within our fishing conservation area, please: show consideration for cottage owners on the islets by not fishing in the immediate vicinity of the cottages. There are many uninhabited islands/beaches where such fishing can be conducted.
