The association's purpose is to coordinate fishing operations and fisheries management, to promote the common interests of fishing right holders, taking into account the regulations that apply to fishing, and to grant fishing rights to the public. The association grants fishing within the fisheries management area through the sale of fishing licenses that apply to all fishing except crayfish fishing.
