Håns Byalag

Krontjärnen, also called Krontjärn, is a body of water located in Årjäng municipality about 2 km west of Töcksfors.

The pond has been a put-and-take water since the 1960s and is a large cold spring with clear water, steep sides in places but with nice places to fish. No rainbow trout are currently being planted due to the withdrawal of the permit from the County Administrative Board.

The pond is home to trout and perch. The trout are currently protected and must be released back.

If you take European route 18 (E18) towards the Norwegian border, you will reach the lake if you turn off the E18 at the sign Låssbyn and take the first right. This is the old E18 which is a toll road and the toll is closed so you have to walk about 600 meters to get to the lake.

Right next to the old E18, which passes right next to the pond, there is a barbecue area that can be used if there is no fire ban and you use common sense.
