GENERAL RULES
Applies to all waters unless otherwise stated.

The fishing license is personal and must be carried with you when fishing.

Young people up to and including the year they turn 16 fish for free even without the company of a guardian.

In all waters, fishing may only be conducted with "hand gear".
(Clarification; It is not permitted to fish with, for example, nets or nets within Arbrå FVF)

Fishing with fishing rods allowed, max 15/person.

Catch limit in all waters of a total of 3 fish per day and person, applies to trout, char, rainbow trout and pike-perch.

Prohibited from selling fish caught within the Arbrå-Undersvik fishery conservation area. Exception for bait fish.

Fishing ban in flowing water between September 1 and December 31, does not apply in Ljusnan.

New rule 2026: Fishing prohibited with live equipment (so-called Livescope) in Flästasjön including fish farming.

Anyone who fishes within Arbrå FVF is responsible for finding out about and following the applicable fishing regulations.

Please pay attention to local regulations posted at each body of water.
(Clarification; This can also be done on the website or via social media).

All fishing is done at your own risk.

Exemptions from current fishing regulations can be applied for from the board.

PUT AND TAKE
Lillsjön and Stugsjön.

Minimum size for trout 35cm and char 25cm.

Fishing is allowed with a maximum of 2 rods/person.

Fishing equipment must never be left in the water unattended.
(Clarification; it is NOT allowed to fish while sitting in the caravan. It is also NOT allowed to occupy a pier/fishing spot when not fishing)

Fishing from boats or other floating vessels is prohibited.

Float fishing may only be done with a fly rod.

Fishing ban in Stugsjön from 1/10 until winter opening, and from ice breaking until summer opening.

Fishing ban in Lillsjön from 1/11 until winter opening, and from ice breaking until summer opening.

ARBRÅS LAKES
Please note that from 2019 there are different rules within Arbrå-Undersvik's FVO.
The rules stated apply within the Arbrå FVF area. Other rules apply for other areas.

Maximum size of pike-perch 70cm (all pike-perch over 70cm must be released)

Minimum size of trout caught in Orsjön/Kyrksjön 50 cm (all trout under 50cm must be released)

Trout fishing ban from 16/9-24/12 in flowing water (tributaries) and 200m out in Ljusnan from the mouth of the tributary.

Trolling fishing allowed with a maximum of 6 rods

GALVANIZED
From the outlet of Galvsjön to the inlet of Åsbacka Dam,
shared route with Bollnäs FVF.

Fishing is only allowed with a fly or spinner.

Fishing is only allowed during the period June 1st – August 31st.

Catch limit 1 fish/day and person.

Minimum dimensions, trout 35cm, grayling 30cm.

For fishing, a fishing license is required in Arbrå FVF or Bollnäs FVF.

CRAB FISHING

Total fishing ban for crayfish within Arbrå FVF (applies to both river crayfish and signal crayfish.
