Lake Vänern's fishing rules for fish size and fishing times apply with the following adjustments:
Minimum size: salmon and trout 60 cm without adipose fin .
NOTE: Salmon and trout with adipose fins may not be caught and must be returned to the water.

Minimum size: Pike perch 45 cm .

Net fishing ban 25/4-15/6

Lake Vänern's fishing rules apply to Jösseforsen.

The quiet hours apply as follows:
Zander ban 25/4- 15/6
Aspen ban 1/4- 31/5
Salmon and Trout Ban 15/9- 31/12

Otherwise, hand gear and trolling with fishing license required.
