The lakes

• Fishing allowed from the premiere in March, announced separately until the end of September.
• Boat fishing and float fishing are prohibited in the lakes. Fishing nets are not allowed.
• A maximum of three fish per day may be caught per card.
• Fishing is allowed with a maximum of one gear at a time.
• Fixed tools are not allowed.
• The premiere day only applies to premiere cards that are personal.

Kalix River

• Minimum dimensions
  Salmon 50 cm
  Grayling 35 cm
  Trout 30-45 cm. Trout less than 30 cm and more than 45 cm must be released into the watercourses.
• Fishing with hand gear (spinning rod, fly rod, jig or similar)
• When fishing with hand gear is permitted, you may catch and keep a maximum of 1 salmon and 1 trout per angler per day.
• Fishing with otters and comparable gear is prohibited, and fishing with a trolling or casting line on which more than 3 hooks are attached is prohibited.
• Fixed tools are not allowed.
• Fishing with live bait is not permitted.

Kätääjoki is protected for fishing until further notice

Closed hours

1. Fishing for trout is prohibited from September 1st to October 14th.
2. Fishing for salmon is permitted in the Kalix River system with tributaries.
   However, not during the period from 1 September to 31 December.
3. Fishing for grayling is prohibited from April 15th to May 31st.
