Fishing rules Lower Svartån FVO
Only applies to hand gear from the beach.
Fishing in Svartån is limited to part of the river, around the bridge anchorage at Bergsvägen, 50 m downstream, and up to the power line (100 m), as well as footbridge.
Children under 16 fish for free when accompanied by a guardian.
The following gear and fishing methods are permitted: casting rod, fishing rod, fly rod, pimpel rod, ice fishing rod.
It is only permitted to use one (1) rod per card per person.
When fishing with hand gear, only two pikes may be kept per fisherman per day, these must measure between 40-90 cm. Other pike caught apply = Catch & release (re-released) Fish caught for own use must be killed, other fish must be re-released = Catch & release.

In the event of a violation of the fishing regulations, a control fee of SEK 800 is charged
Prohibition rules

• Throughout the year, all directed recreational fishing against asp, vimma and eel is prohibited.
• All caught Gos must be released = Catch & release.
• Fish caught by anglers may not be marketed.
• The following tools are prohibited for anglers to use: nets, Russians, cast nets, pike shears, roach huts, cages and to jerk or stab the fish with pointed tools
• Fishing may not be conducted from boat docks, private docks, bathing docks and bridges that are open to vehicle traffic and in the vicinity of hydroelectric plants.
• Trolling fishing - drag rowing is prohibited in the Lower Svartån.
