Rules for public fishing 2026

For the entire area Valid until further notice:

- A valid fishing license or fishing permit must be carried with you when fishing in the area, the only exception being children under 16 years of age when fishing in "natural waters" (non-fishing waters).
- Children under 16 years of age fish for free with hand gear in "natural waters".
- Scissors ban applies to the entire area.
- Ban on silicone balls as bait.
- All non-handheld equipment must be marked with name, telephone number and fishing license number.
- All mashing is prohibited.

• Fishing ban in running water 1st Sept – 31st Oct.
• Angling and ice fishing: Max 10 fishing rods or ice fishing rods per fishing license.

Noble fishing: Applies to Hamptjärn, Lövåssjön and Sarvtjärn.

- The card must be marked with the relevant water.
- One hand tool per card.
- Max 3 fish per card.

• Children 12 years and younger fish on the same card as a guardian. In this case, three fish together apply and the child/children fish with their own rod.

- Companions are allowed to fish with disabled equipment on their card.

• Boats, canoes and floats are not allowed.

Näsby Lake:

- Catch window for hooked pike-perch between 45-65 cm. This means that pike-perch that are smaller than 45 cm or larger than 65 cm and caught with any type of hook must be returned to the lake. Pike-perch with a length within the window may be picked up and kept by the fisherman.

• Maximum 2 pike-perch per day and person when fishing with hand gear, angling, ice fishing or trolling.

- Hooked pikes that are smaller than 75 cm may be kept. Max. 2 pikes per person per day. Larger than 75 cm must be released back into the lake.

Nets: - Nets are not allowed!
Trolling: - Maximum two rods per card, side screens are not allowed.
Longline: - Fishing with bottom-set longline and 100 hooks permitted during the period May 1 - June 30 and September 1 - October 31.
Russians: - Not allowed!

Other Natural Waters:

- Max 2 nets, free mesh size.
