Rules for fishing within Ytterbergs FVOF
All fishing without a valid fishing license is prohibited and will be reported to the police. The fishing license is personal and cannot be transferred.
Limitation: 2 fish per day pass applies to all planted waters, not natural populations.
The fishing license entitles you to sport fishing with a hand-held fishing tackle, fly casting with a maximum of three (3) flies is permitted.
It is prohibited to fish from a boat, float ring or other floating craft in planted waters within the fishery conservation area.
Boating ban does NOT apply to waters with only natural populations of whitefish.
Fishing for crayfish or mussels is prohibited. It is prohibited to fish with nets, set hooks, longlines, seines, otters, marlins, rudd and jerk fishing.
Exception: People residing within the boundaries of the fishery management area have the right to fish with nets and bait in certain larger lakes but NOT in implanted waters.

Closed hours :
Between April 1 and May 15, fishing for grayling is prohibited.
During the period September 1st – October 31st, fishing for trout is prohibited.
The fishing ban applies to flowing water as well as lakes and streams within 200 meters of the inlet and outlet.
Individuals of a protected species caught during the ban period must be immediately returned to the water, regardless of whether the fish is dead or alive.
Minimum dimensions:
Trout, Char, Grayling 25 cm
Too small fish should be immediately returned to the water, regardless of whether the fish is dead or alive.
Minimum dimensions DO NOT apply when fishing for trout in streams.

Inspection fee:
Minor violation: inspection fee of 800:-

When fishing at Ytterbergs FVOF's set rules regarding violations of these where the above rules and prohibitions are violated, an inspection fee of 800:- is charged.

Serious violation: inspection fee of SEK 5920 (10% of the Price Base Amount for 2026, which is SEK 59,200 )

When fishing at Ytterbergs FVOF's established rules regarding fishing bans in all waters and fishing from a boat, float ring or other floating craft, using net fishing, pole hook, longline, seine, otter, bream, rudd and jerk fishing in planted waters, a control fee of 5920 SEK is charged.

Supervisor check:
During the inspection, the supervisor must clearly display their official badge, identification and an appointment issued by the County Administrative Board of Jämtlan County.

Planted water:
Lillåstjärn, Ljustjärn Sjuartjärn, Storjerustjärn and Stortjärn

For day passes in planted waters, 2 fish per day pass apply, after which a new day pass can be purchased but a maximum of 2 day passes per day and person.

When fishing on planted waters, day passes are valid regardless of age.

Day pass in natural waters, no restrictions on the number of fish, Young people up to and including the age of 14 fish for free in natural waters.

Family card/Annual card applies to all people registered at the same address and is NOT valid in planted waters.

Ytterbergs FVOF can decide on temporary fishing bans in certain waters.
