Bäcksjöns SFK

Bäcksjön is a well-visited recreation area located about 15 km north of Umeå urban area. Here, in addition to the chance to experience fantastic fishing, there are also shallow swimming beaches, nature trails, berry and mushroom fields.
Around the lake there are also many interesting cultural remains as well as several rest areas with wind protection and fire pits.
Bäcksjön sportfishing club is responsible for fishing in Bäcksjön. Every year, precious fish are released in the form of trout.
Bäcksjön is a clear water lake with a good visibility depth and, in addition to the noble fish, holds good stocks of pike, perch, roach and tench.
During the municipality's test fishing, it was established that most and largest food perch were caught in Lake Bäcksjön.
A popular fishing spot is the strip of beach between Hemviken and Svartviken. Here is the gravel bottom and a large part of the noble fish is caught here. The fly fisherman can wade without problems.
