Färgensjöarna is Alingsås city's water source and naturally has very clean water.
The lakes are deep, 53 meters in Stora Färgen and 25 meters in Lilla Färgen. There is a lot of fish in the lakes and the most common catch is pike and perch.
Free fishing for children and adolescents up to the age of 17.
