Dalarna is a landscape in northern Sweden, and is usually referred to as the border between northern Sweden and Norrland. The landscape offers a wide variety of natural characters, in the northern parts, the natural image of mountains with clear spring water lakes and vast marshes dominates while the more southern parts offer large leaves and coniferous forests, as well as beautiful valleys. One can say that the only thing really missing in Dalarna is the coastal landscape. There is also a large variety of streams and lakes in Dalarna. The largest lake is Siljan, which lies in its middle, while Dalälven, which, with its many bays and lakes, branches across almost the entire county. The summers are pleasantly warm but the rainfall is high.
