Lumsheden is a village dating back to the late 16th century and located in a valley that stretches from Svärdsjö in Dalarna in the west to Åshammar in Gästrikland in the east. The village, which has approximately 200 inhabitants, is located on the border between Dalarna and Gästrikland in a scenic location by Lake Lumsen.
Lumsheden's Fish Conservation Area includes around 40 lakes and ponds as well as a number of running watercourses, where lakes such as Storsjön, Borrsjön, Svensjön and Stortoxen are recognised as excellent perch and pike fishing waters. There are also some noble fish waters such as Lake Lumsen, Tilli-bränntjärn and Nybotjärn. Other lakes and ponds also contain a lot of perch and pike, as well as some whitefish such as roach and roach.
Free fishing for children up to 12 years of age, except for the lumsen. Children fish with a guardian's fishing license, but only one rod per license.
