The entire area is open for fishing with sport fishing gear.
In the river, catch & release applies to salmon and trout, which means that all salmon and trout must be released, even injured ones.
Closed season where all fishing for salmon and trout is prohibited from September 1 to December 31.
Conservation areas may exist and are signposted if so.
In Åvattnet, in addition to a fishing license, there is a fee of 80 SEK for each game fish. Max. 2 game fish/day.
Young people under 18 fish for free.
