Generally:
Children up to 11 years old can fish for free when accompanied by an adult with a valid fishing license. Please note that the catch limit of 2 rainbow trout applies per license (see below).

Fishing season
In Norra Långevattnet fishing is allowed all year round. During April-September, day passes entitle you to fishing all day, from 00.00 to 24.00. During the rest of the year from 06.00 to 21.00.

Methods
Fishing license is valid for fishing with only ONE rod, either spinning, reel or fly rod, traditional spinning or fly fishing. Active fishing with movement on the bait/fly applies to all fishing. Allowed baits are flies or spinning baits. Barbless hooks are recommended for easier unhooking.

Jerk fishing is prohibited.
All forms of angling (fishing with bait) are prohibited, except for ice fishing, where natural bait is permitted.

Throwing pellets/spikes/bombards and artificial odors and flavors are prohibited. Pacifier indicators and hangers are prohibited in all fishing. Fishing with spinning flies and sinkers is prohibited.
Fishing from boats and other floating craft is prohibited. Only floating with fins is permitted for fly fishing.

Catch restrictions
A maximum of 2 rainbow trout may be kept per card, after which fishing must be stopped immediately. After that, you must purchase a new card if you wish to continue fishing regardless of the species.

Other
Fishermen are required to show their fishing license, identification, gear, bags and catch upon request. Fishing supervisors are provided with a special badge or card. The fishing regulations apply in the event of legal liability and violation may result in penalties. If you fish using unauthorized methods, your fishing license will be canceled on the spot and a control fee of 1000 will be issued by our fishing supervisors.
