About the Blue Card Gothenburg

Just 5 km from the centre of Gothenburg lies Norra Långevattnet – an elongated lake with a wide variation in depth, barely a kilometre long and 6.5 metres at its deepest. It is well suited for both fly and spin fishing, with good chances of catching rainbow trout which are continuously stocked, but the lake is also home to pike, perch, roach and bream. Norra Långevattnet is surrounded by forest and cliffs and on the east side the Bohusleden trail passes on its way south.

New from 2025, Sportfiskarna will offer a limited number of fishing licenses during selected holidays in the spring (March-April) and the autumn (October-November) to be able to fish for the lake's large pike. Parking is available at the shuttle parking lot by the football fields northwest of the lake. Please note that the barrier on the road towards Mölndalds waterworks closes without prior warning, so do not drive there.
