Generally
The fishing license is personal and may not be transferred.
For all fishing licenses, children up to 16 years of age can fish for free when accompanied by a guardian who must have a valid fishing license.
If you are caught in the river without a fishing license, if you do not follow the applicable rules or if you do not report your fishing, you risk being fined with a control fee or being banned from fishing in our area again.
All net fishing and ice fishing is prohibited from the northern/western part of the Djupavan estuary (lower part of the strait) and upstream to Blattnicksele Huftasjö's FVO border towards Kvarnbränna.

Fishing season
Trout:
Fishing period: 1/5 - 31/8 and 15/10 - 31/12 other times fishing prohibited.
Salmon:
Fishing period: 19/6 - 31/8 other times fishing prohibited. Any exemption fishing during the period 1/9-14/9 requires a special exemption fishing license which is then available in the store. If you fish without this fishing license you risk a fine.
Grayling:
Fishing ban 15/4 - 31/5

Methods
Fishing with hand gear and only two rods per person and fishing license may be used. All fishing according to current freshwater regulations.

Catch restrictions :
Trout:
Minimum dimensions 35 cm
Maximum one trout per angler per day. All other trout must be released back into the water with the utmost care.
Salmon:
Minimum dimensions 50 cm
Max one salmon per fisherman per day.
Grayling:
Minimum dimensions 35 cm.

Other rules

All net fishing and ice fishing is prohibited from the northern/western part of the Djupavan estuary (lower part of the strait) and upstream to Blattnicksele Huftasjö's FVO limit.

You are required to report your salmon fishing.
You do this regardless of whether you have caught fish or not.

Fish care
Since trout and grayling waters can be sensitive to high fishing pressure, it goes without saying that you should not "fish by the bucket" or fish for small fish.
Grayling is sensitive to storage and should be cooked as soon as possible.
When re-exposing, don't stress it.
Bring it in as quickly as possible and preferably release it below the surface of the water.
This means that the mucus layer is not damaged, which prevents parasitic infestations.
