Fishing license entitles you to fishing with hand gear, i.e. spinning, angling, fly fishing.
The fishing license does not entitle you to fish for trout.
The moth is protected.
Caught catfish and trout must be immediately released back into the river.
For shore fishing along the western side of the Emån River on the stretch from Dalby up to Blankaström power station, permission from the landowner is required.
However, fishing from boats and canoes is permitted within this stretch without special permission. The opportunities for fishing from land are good.
Good and suitable fishing spots are found along the east side of the river from Blankaström down to Högsby. At Ryningen in the upper open part of Emån there is a large marsh area within which shore fishing is not suitable.
Do not enter fields with growing crops and be careful with fences.
Do not park in a way that creates obstacles or inconveniences for agriculture or other traffic.
Fishing for the finish line is prohibited because the finish line is protected.
Caught catfish must be released back into the river.
The minimum size for trout and salmon is 50 centimeters.
All salmon and sea trout tagged with radio transmitters must be returned.
