Grangärde FVOF

Some types of parcels are only partially included within the area.
Grangärde fishing leases all waters with a few exceptions for fishing with hand gear and angling/ice fishing with a maximum of 15 tackle/rods.

Different card types:

Local cards can be purchased by local residents (applies to residents and owners of recreational properties within the fishery conservation area) and entitle you to fishing with hand gear (not nets, lures or similar).
Daily passes can be purchased by local residents and entitle them to fishing with hand gear.
Fishing rights certificates can be purchased by fishing rights holders and entitle them to fishing with hand and mobile gear.
Non-local residents are advised to purchase a fishing license via Grangärde Fiske.

Pike over 80 cm and perch over 40 cm should be released! This is to maintain a good fish population in our lakes.

If fishing is done with mobile gear, these must be equipped with floats with a legible name and telephone number for the fisherman.
A fishing license and local card entitles a family of 2 adults and children under 16 to fishing.
Huts by the water are for the public, so fishing license holders cannot claim priority for these!

NOTE! Cards purchased from Grangärde FVOF do not entitle you to fishing in the following waters (special cards are purchased from Grangärde Fiske Grangärde Fiske - Home (grangardefiske.se) ):
• Upper Hedtjärn
• Tanning iron
• Bright iron
• Middle Gåltjärn
• Soot iron
• The five-hundredth

The following waters can be rented and then a fishing license from Grangärde FVOF does not apply. Information about rentals is available via Grangärde Fiske's website and signage by the waters:
• Cast iron
• Knife Lake
• Hedgehog iron

No fishing for the public in the following waters:
• Little Steam Iron
• Bredtjärn

Fishing bans are currently in effect in the following waters:
• Håjensån
• Norrboån

The Malingarna lakes are a nature reserve where special rules apply for camping, motorized vehicles, etc.
See the Dalarna County Administrative Board website, motor-driven ice drills are permitted regardless of engine type.

In all running water, a barbless hook must be used.
A maximum of 3 game fish per day may be caught, applies to all cards.
Trout fishing in running water is permitted from the time the ice breaks up until September 15. Fishing is prohibited at other times.

No fishing license entitles you to crayfish fishing and must be supplemented with a special crayfish fishing license on the dates when crayfish fishing is permitted.
Special fishing rules apply to crayfish fishing.
Crayfish fishing is advertised on notice boards and with advertisements in the local press.

Trolling fishing requires special cards. (Trolling is considered when bait is dragged behind a boat powered by a motor and with more than 3 rods or more than one rod per person.)
Maximum 8 rods per boat. Maximum 3 game fish may be caught and kept per day.
When purchasing a trolling fishing license, the right to fish with other hand gear is also included.

Fishing supervision is carried out.
Fishing license holders must always be able to identify themselves with an accepted form of identification (driver's license, passport, etc.).
An inspection fee will be charged when the association's fishing rules are violated, the inspection fee is currently 1200 SEK.
Net fishing is only possible for fishing rights holders. However, net fishing is prohibited in the following lakes:
• Ramsnorsen
• Saxdalsjön
• All waters written in italics above.
In those parts of Bysjön, Uvtjärn, Skallen, Håjen and Gammelgårdssjön that are located within other FVOF, only fishing with hand gear is permitted.
