FISHING RULES FOR CARP FISHING IN GRÅNSSJÖN - Carp fishing is permitted upon purchase of a special carp fishing license. A regular fishing license in Gagnef-Mockfjärds Fvo is therefore not valid for carp fishing in Grånssjön.
Exception: Local card holders can fish for carp for free for the first 24 hours, after which the same prices apply as for others. All fishing licenses must be booked so we know when you started your fishing. - The carp fishing license can be purchased as a daily, weekly or annual license.
Prices: 24-hour pass: 60 SEK (pre-mixing without fishing 3 days before included) Weekly pass: 200 SEK (pre-mixing without fishing 3 days before included) Annual pass: 500 SEK - Children under 16 years of age fish for free when accompanied by a guardian if the guardian has a carp fishing license.
- Fishing is permitted with 3 rods per person. Net or bass fishing is prohibited in Grånssjön, violation will result in immediate confiscation of fishing gear and a police report.
- Rods should be placed so that they do not disturb fishermen nearby, so keep a reasonable distance from your fishing neighbor for everyone's well-being. Common sense applies.
- When stalking or sneak fishing for carp, only one rod may be used.
- Fly fishing for carp is of course also allowed.
- Mashing and pre-mashing allowed.
- All carp (and also roach over 100 g) should be released regardless of the condition of the fish, if the fish is seriously injured it should be released in any case. If possible, documentation such as photography or contact with those responsible for the Gagnef-Mockfjärd fish conservation area about the condition of the fish in connection with the catch is appreciated.
- Reporting of catches is a requirement, all carp must be reported to those responsible for the Gagnef-Mockfjärd fish conservation area. Alternatively, by phone, text message or email.
- Clearing of swimming/fishing areas is not permitted unless an agreement has been made with those responsible for the Gagnef-Mockfjärd fish conservation area or landowners.
- All trash and leftovers must be cleaned up after the fishing trip. Leave the area as it was when you arrived.
- Camping at the fishing spot/swimming pool is permitted and is valid as long as the fishing license is valid. If you have an annual license, camping is valid for a maximum of one week per fishing session with a break of at least one week between sessions. If you change fishing spots/swimming pools, a one-day break between sessions is sufficient.
The rules for camping are the same as those for public rights of way and that no damage may be done to the nature in the area. Camping is only allowed at a distance of 15m from the lake shore or on the fishing raft on the marsh. - Open fires are not permitted. Use a Trangia stove or gas stove as a cooking stove if you want to have hot food and ensure that any fire outside the cooking stove can be quickly extinguished. All cutting of firewood or clearing of any bushes is prohibited unless there is an agreement with the landowner or fisheries manager. The natural environment should be preserved as much as possible.
- Toilet visits should take place at least 100m from the shore to the lake and all paper in connection with this should be removed from the place where the needs were met.
- Disturbing behavior towards other visitors, fishermen and livestock around the lake is absolutely prohibited and will lead to immediate suspension and will be prosecuted in the same way as poaching.
