Grånssjön at Gagnef in Dalarna is a small lake of 3 hectares which is one of several small so-called ice pit which is located beside the Österdal River in Gagnef and Djurås.
The environment and nature around the lakes is amazing and you almost feel moved to Tolkien's Lord of the Ring in the Hobbit County. In other words, made for long carp paws. When neither inflows nor outflows exist, there are unique conditions in the water that are supplied with fresh water through underground sources. The water is not humus-colored, as many forest ponds, but clearly with a characteristic dough bottom and water lilies, nate and water lilies as the main vegetation, fish are easily seen if using polarizing glasses eg. the lake has for all years served as a sport fishing lake with a fairly good stock of perch and pike and roach.
NOTE! You only solve carp fishing cards here, if you are to estimate perch or spin fishing for pike, the usual fishing license in Gagnef-Mockfjärds FVOF also applies in Grånssjön.
The fishery conservation area includes a large variety of water with everything from exciting rapids fishing for grayling and trout to fishing for old pike in both the river's calmer parts and our countless lakes in the area, fine perch are found in most waters and put-and take fishing for rainbow trout in some ponds and lakes.
If you want to fish for carp, you can also buy a special carp fishing license in Grånssjön and then have the chance of mountain and mirror carp of over 10 kg. Carp fishing is a test of patience and very exciting fishing.
